Steamed Fish with Black Beans Recipe


Steamed Fish with Black Beans Recipe
Serves 4
Ingredients:
-1 ½ lb whole sea bass, cleaned
-½ teaspoon salt
-pepper
-2 tablespoons cornstarch
-1 tablespoon salted black beans, soaked for 10 minutes, drained and minced
-2 garlic cloves, minced
-1 teaspoon minced ginger root
-1 scallion, finely chopped
-2 tablespoons oil
-1 tablespoon soy sauce
-2 tablespoons dry sherry
-Shredded scallions to garnish

Directions:
1. Rub the fish, inside and out, with salt and pepper, then coat with the cornstarch.
2. Place the fish on a heatproof plate. Mix the black beans with the garlic, ginger, and scallion. Spoon over the fish and sprinkle with oil, soy sauce and sherry. Place in a steamer and steam for 20 to 25 minutes.
3. Transfer the fish to a serving plate. Spoon the sauce over and garnish with the scallions. Serve hot.

Black Bean Chicken Recipe

 
Black Bean Chicken Recipe
Serves 4

Ingredients:
  • 3lbs chicken pieces diced
  • 1 ½ teaspoon cornstarch blended with 1 tablespoon water
  • Spring onions for garnishing
A:
  • 1 tablespoon salted black beans
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoon oil
B:
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon wine
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ cup water
Directions:
  1. Combine ingredients A and fry in a casserole on power High, uncovered for 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Add in ingredients B, chicken pieces and cornstarch mixture.
  3. Cover and cook on power High for 6 minutes, stir occasionally.
  4. Serve hot with rice.
