Honey Lemon Fish Fillet Recipe


Honey Lemon Fish Fillet Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 300g frozen cod or other fish fillet (2/3 lb)
(A)
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • dash of sesame oil and pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
(B)
  • 3 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/3 Tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 3 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
Directions:
  1. Thaw fillet, wash, wipe dry. Cut into pieces, marinate with (A).
  2. Coat fillet pieces with a layer of corn starch, deep-fry to a golden brown, scoop up and drain.
  3. Heat and stir (B) in wok to a boil. Stir until sauce is evenly coated on fillet pieces. Done.

Lemon Pork Recipe


Lemon Pork Recipe
Serves 4

Ingredients:
-1.5 lb pork fillet
-2 shallots
-1 slice ginger
-1 egg
-½ cup cornflour
-½ wok oil for deep frying
-1 lemon
-1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
-2 parsley sprigs
-1 extra tablespoon oil for sautéing

Marinade:
-1 teaspoon wine
-1 tablespoon soy sauce
-½ tablespoon sugar
-A pinch of pepper
-1 teaspoon cornflour
-1 tablespoon lemon juice
-1 tablespoon water
-1 tablespoon oil, to be added last

Seasoning:
-1 teaspoon wine
-½ cup lemon juice
-¼ teaspoon salt
-3 tablespoon sugar
-½ teaspoon chicken powder
-1 pinch of pepper

Gravy mix:
-1 teaspoon cornflour
-1 tablespoon water

Directions:
1.        Wash, dry and cut the poork filler into 1” x 1 ½ “ thick slices.
2.       Peel and mince the shallots and ginger to mix with the marinade. Immerse the pork slices in the marinate to coat evenly then leave to stand for 30 minutes. Blend in the oil and continue to marinade for a further 30 minutes.
3.       Beat the egg. Coat the pork slices with the beaten egg then dust with cornflour.
4.       Gently bring the oil to boil and slide in the pork to deep fry till golden brown. Remove and drain on the kitchen paper.
5.        Halve the lemon lengthwise then cut widthwise into thin slices to border the platter. Arrange the deep fried pork in the centre then sprinkle the grated lemon peel on top. Garnish with the parsley sprigs.
6.       Heat a pan with the extra oil. Sizzle the wine, then pour in the lemon juice and seasoning to bring to boil. Thicken the juice with the gravy mix then pour over the pork to serve.

Lemon chicken Recipe

 
Lemon chicken Recipe
Serves 4
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2lbs (aprx 4) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 cup cooking oil
  • 3 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/3 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cups diced scallions
Directions:
  1. Combine the cornstarch, 1/4 cup water and the egg yolks into a bowl, whisk until smooth. Dip the chicken breasts and coat each piece thoroughly.
  2. Heat 2 cups oil in a wok. Fry chicken breasts until brown then place the chicken in a paper towel.
  3. Stir in 1/2 cup water and broth in medium saucepan, place 2 tablespoon cornstarch, brown sugar and ginger.. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until thickens and comes to a boil, boil for 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat, add in lemon juice. Slice chicken into thin pieces.
  5. Arrange slightly over lapping on serving dish. Pour sauce over, sprinkle with scallions.
